Bike Rode - Volunteers Needed

We have the Bike Rodeo coming up on Friday, September 11th and Erica van Dijk (the Bike Rodeo chair) is in need of volunteers for hour-long shifts, multiple hour shifts, or all day. Please email silvermesapta@gmail.com if you're interested in helping and mention the time that will work for you. 

The shifts are as follows: 

• 7:45 - 8:45
• 8:45 - 9:45
• 9:45 - 10:45 
• 10:45 - 11:45 
• 1:00 - 1:30
  

The Sandy City Police Department will be coming in to teach the students about bike safety and will be in charge of the event.  We just need to provide some parent volunteers to assist.  Thanks for all you do for our students and school!

Understanding Silver Mesa Fundraisers

Do fundraisers at Silver Mesa confuse you?  There are two fundraisers at our school--one in the Fall and one in the Spring.  The Fall fundraiser is the PTA's No-Fuss Fundraiser which funds the programs at our school, including $7000 for Field Trips ($1000 per grade which pays for busses and admission). The Jog-a-thon is the Spring fundraiser which is sponsored by the School Community Council (SCC) and typically pays for school technology. 

The PTA is only allowed one fundraiser per school year and that is the No-Fuss Fundraiser which is happening right now.  Our fundraiser goal is $12,000 and as of now, we're about halfway there and we have just one week left of our fundraiser drive.  The $30 per student suggested amount is a great deal for all that PTA provides to the 600+ students in our school!

Teacher Appreciation Breakfast - Need your help!

Hello Silver Mesa Families!

It's hard to believe we are about to embark on another school year. Our family is excited because we have a great school! One of the things that makes our school great is the wonderful staff.
